Bill Irwin hat Folgendes geschrieben: | I downloaded the APK on my Windows PC and used the MPE existing client to copy it to my phone. Using a file manager on my phone (X-plore) I opened the APK and selected the Android updater. Two updates failed until I saw the instruction to uninstall the MPE client first. After doing that the 1.0.47 client installed fine and is now starting automatically whenever my phone connects to my home WiFi.
Keep a copy of MPE 1.0.47 available on your phone in case it gets updated to a more recent (and broken) version, in which case you'll have to go through the uninstall - install again.
I have turned off auto-update for MPE Client, which means I can no longer do an "Update all". |
Great new - seems OK for me - I used the WIFI File Transfer app from Google Play. It worked a dream and allows the new installation from the transfer program.
Must confess I have not yet found the TURN OFF auto-update for client.
Thanks everyone for input to this GREAT software app |

I just manually updated from 1.0.47 to 1.0.60 and it is the same as the other versions since 47 - broken. There is no option in Settings to select the SSIDs of the WiFi networks for which I want MPE to start automatically. This is critical in order MPE to detect that I'm home and that it should run and wait for my PC scheduled task to run a sync every two hours to keep my contacts and calendars synced.
I closed MPE, turned off WiFi, turned on WiFi and saw that MPE did not start, just like the other versions after 1.0.47.
So what is it that you think is "back to normal"? Is there some hidden permission that will make the SSID selection option appear in Settings?
I will be uninstalling and going back to 1.0.47. |

If you 'search' you will find the reason. There is NO hidden setting to turn it back on. |

On Android 9 I went to Play Store > My apps & games > Installed > MPE. Touch the app to open its properties. Touch the menu icon in the upper right corner. Unselect "Enable auto-update".
I don't know if this would stop MPE from being included in an "Update All" choice.
I understand the reason behind this significant loss of MPE functionality but thought it had been resolved from the previous post saying it was all working again. Next time I'll ask for specifics before I do an update to the current version. |

Hi there any chance of non-Google play version with full functionality?
I know about 1.0.47 version for do SMS and call history cleanup, but it's not that quick
I know ACR app, that is for Calll recording. They developed this "full APP" for non-Google play .apk installation with full needed permissions - not availible in GooglePlay store (call history access, running call, etc...) |

The latest official version of the client is working fine for me now even though it doesn't detect the SSID - or at least show that it does. When my PC runs MPE I see the client start on my phone and then it spins. After the sync the client closes after 15 minutes of idle.
No need to go back to 1.0.47 for this issue any longer. |

Well spotted! Yep, that works for me also. |

Hi
Still have some of these annoying problems. Returned to ver 1.0.47 but can't figure how to stop auto updates. I have MPE client on Huawei Y6 but don't see any option to stop updates. Goto MPE client (on phone) and list settings and don't see anything appropriate. Obvious to some I guess but not me at the moment!! |

@peterhw
Go to Google Play > Menu (upper left > My apps & games > Installed > MyPhoneExplorer Client (touch the app) > Menu (upper right three dots) > Enable auto-update. Deselect it.
If MPE is listed in a group of apps that have updates, and you select "Update All", you will be asked if you want to skip MPE. |
