We are quite a lot of users having problems to sync MPE data with Outlook:

This issue has been there for a very long time, and it seems it's getting worse every day.

Idea I found that using a simple configuration to sync data is the best choice (in fact, not using outlook and dealing only with MPE PC version would be the best choice):
Arrow First set to sync all appointments

Arrow And then configure outlook sync to just one calendar folder, fully compare items... and perhaps it would be better to sync all events, instead of the ones in a selected range.
Use Reset sync history from time to time.

Regarding synchornization there are not many more options we can configure.

Arrow Should you still have any errors, I'd suggest to try first to repair Outlook data using scanpst.exe (see here or here).

Problems might have sth to do either with Outlook or with communication between Outlook and MPE. Be it "redemption" or how Outlook mangles with data structures (Outlook 365 is giving me trouble with recurring appointments, even modifying them from VBA does not work as it should).

Idea A good alternative to MPE, paid one, is CompanionLink. Has been there for a while, and is able to pair most common devices (I have nothing to do with the developer, I used it many years ago to sync Windows Mobile to Outlook in Win7, never had any problem).

Exclamation We'd like to see a MPE release syncing flawlessly with Outlook, otherwise it's very likely we shall stop using it.

I do: i've been using MPE for over 4 years now, I still think MPE is the best and cheapest tool to sync to my phone, and being most of my choices in software up to now the "free" ones I think it's the way to go as long as I'm satisfied with it.
I just wanted to post my findings and make clear to other users that there are alternatives, should MPE not work for them.
I'm using MPE with the configuration I posted. Previously I had two calendars selected to sync, each one allocated to a different Outlook folder. That way i got mismatches between outlook and MPE (both in PC and mobile). Now "everything" works fine (I also had to delete all my notes on my phone to let MPE create them again, because of what i stated here). And I get flaws now and then.

CompanionLink also works, but it's much more difficult to configure and does not allow to review every item being synced. Also MPE works faster. I sought for other alternatives, none were as good as these two.

BTW, lucky you that get MPE working without flaws: can you tell us your mobile phone model?.

I'd like to make a further suggestion to the developer, FJ: add some "hidden" commands in GUI (perhaps to be activated by a flag in the .ini file) that could allow us, the users, to tweak the app. Such would be a button to "reset" (erase) all MPE content in mobile phone, and let us start a sync from scratch.

Cleaning all content in phone is otherwise quite tedious.

Currently a Galay Note 9 with custom Pie ROM. Previously a Galaxy S7 with several custome ROMs over a couple of years. Priot to that an S4 with several custom ROMs and before than an HTC Desire HD with various custom roms over the years. The S4 and S7 are still working (in the family) and still sync'ing flawlessly using MPE.

PC was originally running XP when I started with MPE but is now a new beast running Windows 10. Originally running Office 2000 but now Office 2010.

No problems at any time except minor issues occasionally or finger problems on my part.

As I said, Office 2010.

As for the button to erase all MPE data you can do this already - at least to erase all contacts on the phone (+ calendars seperately). Settings > apps > (Show system apps) > contact storage > storage > clear data/cache (or something like that).

Hi,
Happy new year,
I changed my PC Laptop and reinstall MPE under win 10 family 64. Nothing was working. I desinstall outlook on my S8+ reinstall it with my mailboxes. I have office 365 family on my PC.
MPE does not see Outlook anymore on the phone. It does not propose outlook in the Sync section.
There is definitively a problem and I have been unable to solve it.
Regards,
