Cooooool!!!! Thank you!!!!
FJ hat Folgendes geschrieben: | I cannot use CTRL+S for saving the message cause this shortcut is also used in many lists to open the new-message-window. |
Ah, I can see that it would require quite a lot of rearranging to change Ctrl+S in all those lists... And how cool it is that you can press Ctrl+S in the calls list and address books and instantly start a message to that person!
I can't help mentioning, though, that Ctrl+M could be an alternative shortcut for "New message" - the M even matches the first letter of "message" in quite a lot of languages (including all the major ones using the Latin alphabet):
• German: Mitteilung,
• English: Message,
• French: Message,
• Spanish: Mensaje,
• Italian: Messaggio,
• Portuguise: Mensagem,
• Norwegian: Melding,
• Swedish: Meddelande,
• Romanian: Mesaj,
• Danish: Meddelelse,
• Catalan: Missatge, and
• Albanian: Mesazh
! That way Ctrl+U could be changed to Ctrl+S for saving a draft, following the style in Outlook, Outlook Express and Gmail.
Your decision though, of course! I am just trying to inspire. |

A new suggestion! I am unstoppable
When I open the Message Properties window to read an SMS (I do that when they are long) and want to answer it, I intuitively press Ctrl+R - but with no effect. I feel a bit like Bart Simpson - I keep doing it, even though I have found out it doesn't work...
Could Ctrl+R be added as a Reply shortcut in the Message Properties window also, just as in the message list (inbox etc.)?
Now it actually occurs to me that buttons for Reply (Ctrl+R), Forward, Call and Delete, like in the list window, would be quite useful in the Message Properties window also - like in e-mail programs when you read a message in its own window and have similar buttons... How cool it would be - and how much money I would spend on sms'es, because it would be even easier to write them |

Great program, thanks a lot for it!
Would that be possible to implement music player management? At least a playlist creator and editor. I think it might be quite useful.
Thanks. |

@ftakopysk: Playlist-Editor is already integrated. But it works only on newer models which use the Walkman 2 Software
@Jesper: I will add the shortcuts to the message-properties-window. Do you know about the preview-window on the bottom on the SMS-List ? And the Tooltip if you move the mouse over the receipient ? |

I don't know if this has been asked before or not, couldn't see that it has.
Are you planning on adding support for Symbian based phones? ie. W950i
Thanks |

Thanks for a great app...
what would make it even better (for me at least) would be the ability to add/remove contacts to the "Accept calls" list in my phone's Call Management settings. To do this on the phone is a bit of a pain since you have to select each contact individually ... it would be much easier doing it on my pc then downloading the list to my phone.
ps. i'm using a W880i |

A nice feature (that i think is quite easy to implement) would be to add the name of the calender behind the entry that is added to the phone. I have also added the calendar of my girlfriend, and that way, i know the entry is hers...
It's a shame the k750i doesn't support multiple calendars, perhaps with colors |

In archive of SMS it could be good, to sort messges separately - inbox (recieved) and outbox (send) |

Inconsistency on the following path:
Organizer > Calendar > Task List
Popup menu provides following functions:
- edit
- delete
- new entry
- force as edited
but no "mark as completed".
However using left mouse button You can among other things directly 'mark a task as completed'.
BTW deletion of the task scrolls The Task List (when it is in scrollable mode ie. contains many items inside) to the top and that makes deletion of multiple tasks (especially using keyboard DELETE key when you just can't select multiple separate items) a nuisance (one per keypress). |

Menu-Entry to mark todos as complete will be added in the next version. Thank you for the tipp. You can do this also if you click with the left mousebutton directly on the checkbox.
The thing with Scrolling will be also checked by me |

I have just recently migrated from Siemens to SE. MPE seems to be the most user-friendly and useful both among Siemens and SE software. Thank you very much!
I have one suggestion: Could it be possible to let users create more folders in the Messages group (either in parallel with the present folders/items or as subfolders within the Archive (computer) folder)? This would be very helpful for anybody who needs more structured SMS archive. |
