My phone is a Hebrew language based K800i, the folders are all in Hebrew.
In MyPhoneExplorer they show as random letters and numbers instead of the actualy folder name.
Here's a screenshot:
What can I do to show these folders in Hebrew?
Thanks.[/img] |

Set your system charset to Hebrew. MyPhoneExplorer doesn't support full unicode so the filenames are shown in Hex |

System charset? what do you mean?
Thing is, I got it to work a few months ago, but now I can't remember how and have since reinstalled my PC. |

Its called in windows like "language for non-unicode-windows". You can find it in Control panel->Regional settings |

Sorry, then you have to live with it. Or you change the phone-language to english. |

How come the program doesn't support unicode?
Also, it has worked for me before I reinstalled my PC.. so it's definitely something that has to do not only with your software.
Any ideas? |

MyPhoneExplorer never supported unicode, this is based on technical problems. If it worked before then it must have to do with your system-settings. Especially with the charsets (or did you use another language in the phone before ? ) |

Nope, it all stayed the same.. this is why it's so odd.
Also I remember when it did work as expected, the only thing I've changed was to reinstall MyPhoneExplorer.
Very odd |

Alright I found an answer to this issue!
Seems like MPE checks your "Standards and formats" setting, which has to do with the date, time and currency of your system.
It really has nothing much to do with language settings.
Once I changed it to "Hebrew" it shows the folders in Hebrew as well.
Maybe you could fix it so it would work with the unicode setting alone. |

Interesting. I always thought that the charset is set only with the option "language for non-unicode-programs". MyPhoneExplorer reads only the charsetnumber from the system, no date settings or currency values.
A full unicode-support is - as i said already - cause of technical restrictions not possible. |
