Hi
Version 0.8 of Lightning will soon be available as RC1. When will MPE be able to sync with Lightning's new folder structure? |

Well, what are you talking about? There was a problem getting the calendar colour, but this is fixed with the current release of the addon contained in 1.6.6. This was 1 or 2 weeks ago. Have there been further changes? I did not try the nightlies since then. |

Sorry, my mistake.
After I upgraded to MPE v1.6.6 I forgot to delete/refresh the Thunderbird Addon. Why can't this be done during installation/upgrade of MPE? |

I think I've found a bug.
All day events created in Thunderbird, recurring or not, will always try to re-sync in MPE. Even though it's sync'ed, it will still wants to sync the next time.
Info from the sync-dialog:
Entry in phone:
- Test-event
- 11.05.2008
Entry in Thunderbird:
- Test-event
- No Indication - 00:00 |

Please check that your timezone settings in Lightning, Windows and mobile phone are identical. |

The timezones are identical.
When MPE gets an All Day Event from Lightning, is it normal to show it as "No Indication - 00:00"? Didn't it use to say All Day in version 1.6.4? |

More info:
Steps to reproduce the bug:
- Create an All Day event in Lightning (both single and multiple days gives the same result)
- Synchronize with MPE
Result:
The event does not appear in the phone, and therefore MPE tries to re-sync during the next synchronization.
If I edit the event in Lightning, so it starts 9 and ends 10 instead, and then try to sync, MPE finds the event in the phone and suggests to use the entry from Lightning as usual (even though I can't see the event in the phone).
If I choose to use the entry from Lightning, the event appears two times in the phone, but with correct start/end time.
If I change it back to All Day Event in Lightning and sync, MPE suggests to use the edited entry from Lightning. If I choose Sync, the All Day Event is not visible in the phone, and the duplicated events remain in the phone with the time 9-10.
If I delete one of the duplicated events in the phone and tries to re-sync, MPE starts to run very slow (although not using any more CPU-power), and gets problem with the connection (ERROR: Connection to phone not possible!). MPE needs to be restarted.
If I delete the last instance of the duplicated event in the phone, and try to sync, MPE suggests to create the entry in the phone again.
The sync dialog shows, as mentioned above, the All Day Event as "No Indication - 00:00". |

What version of Lightning are you using? Can you export your calendar in ICS-format from Lightning and post your test event here? |

Lightning: 0.8pre (build 2008012418)
It's the same problem in build 2008012222 too. Before that, I used v0.7.

Yes, I found the cause - the new timezone handling changed the DateTime-Object and broke my Date to String and vice versa conversion routines. But I have yet to develop a fix - so be patient. This are the dangers of using development versions... |

Do you know in which nightly this happened? So I can switch back to the latest working one? |

Whatever you did, it worked like a charm!
Both single allday-events, allday-events that span over several days, and recurring allday-events work like they should. Allday-events created in phone are also synchronized correctly to Lightning.
Thanks alot!! |
