When trying to sync from address book to MPE, ThunderBird 5.0 complains:
Code: | TypeError: Components.classes['@fjsoft.at/MyPhoneExplorer;1'] is undefined |
When trying multisync, MPE connects to ThunderBird but complains:
Code: | Loading entries from thunderbird fails! |
This is true for both versions 1.0.32 and 1.0.33 of the addon. Completely removing and re-installing it does not help, either.
Please advise... sync used to work so well that I became dependent on it |

I encounter same sync problem with the new Thunderbird 5.0. MPE plug-in/application probably need to be updated. So currently I have to keep and use Thunderbird 3.1.11. |

I also had the same problem as On today. If I try to start contact sync with Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0 using "Sinc Contacts" button I added on the toolbar I get: TypeError: Components.classes['@fjsoft.at/MyPhoneExplorer;1'] is undefined.
If I try to start contact sync from within MyPhoneExplorer, sync stops halfway an I get: Loading entries from thunderbird fails!
Definitely a problem concerning new Thunderbird version. The point is: if Mozilla crew is going to publish new Thunderbird versions at the same pace as Firefox, will it be possible to keep up with them?
Anyway, thanks a lot for your work, MPE is a great piece of software. |

I'm working on it. Starting with Thunderbird 5, the Gecko tools are no longer backwards compatible. So I will need to release a new version of the addin for each new major release... |

Hopefully, the new tools would be around for a while: Mozilla plans to release more often, but I hope that not too many releases will change that interface. |

Hopefully. Last time I tried to suggest to them something like backward compatibility would be a good idea, I suddenly got the impression that we suddenly weren't speaking the same language and that what I had written was resented as a kind of insult |

1.0.56 just came in via automatic add-on update and works like a charm... gee, my life is back in order
Many thanks, NP, and kudos for the quick response! Hope that it was not too much work (and the API/toolkit stays stable for a while). |
