Hej,
My Galaxy s3 was working fine with 1.8.3 and when I upgraded to 1.8.4 the contacts worked but not the calendar. I get the error message, "Loading entries from Outlook failed"
I am running Win7/64b[/img] |

Outlook Calendar not syncing with 1.8.4 for me too. Win7 64 bit, Galaxy S2. I was using Force phone--> Outlook fine earlier but now all my events have been wiped out except for recurring events while nothing new gets synced.
If I use sync mode at "sync both", MPE hangs and I have to force close it.
Am going back to 1.8.3 if I can.
Added later: uninstalled 1.8.4 and reinstalled 1.8.3 but still no luck. |

Tried USB with debugging on and adb installed but still no luck.
To recap:
* after installing 1.8.4, all my non-recurring events in Outlook 2007 calendar were deleted and do not sync any more. The events are on my phone but don't show on MPE or Outlook.
* uninstalling 1.8.4 and reinstalling 1.8.3 didn't help. 1.8.3 was working fine before 1.8.4 got installed.
* all sync modes don't work: phone->MPE; MPE->phone; both
* syncing calendar separately doesn't work, neither does "all"
* contacts, notes, tasks, calls seem to be OK
HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO SYNC OUTLOOK WITH 1.8.4 OR 1.8.3 AFTER UNISTALLING 1.8.4??

1.8.4 consistently crashed on me 100% of the time when I clicked on the Advance button for any of the three outlook syncing functions in the settings. I installed 1.8.2 and finally got things working but I do see a lot of enhancements that are required.
Before I jump from 1.82 I want to install a BU app that will BU my phone in total. Thus if I have to restore I have a fallback plan I can easily implement. I've been looking at a couple that sound great but the require rooting and I'm a dummy in this area thus more learning is required. |

I am using Vista 64 with Outlook 2007 and 1.8.4 and mine doesn't work either! I can get MyPhoneExplorer to download to its own calendar but it will not sync with Outlook!
I just installed this software on Friday when Kies stopped working last week! |

-First method :
Open this file in a text editor (after copying the original elsewhere, just in case you break something) :
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\MyPhoneExplorer\general.ini
Modify it to get this :
UseOutlookObjectModel=1
-Second method, in case the first one doesn't work :
Rename this file :
C:\Program files\MyPhoneExplorer\DLL\fjsoftMAPI.dll
into that new name :
fjsoftMAPI_backup.dll
The directories path may be slightly different for you, it depends on the version of Windows you use. |

Problem: After update from 1.8.2 to 1.8.4, Outlook would not pick up date changes in tasks made on device
Setup: MEP 1.8.4; Win XP; Outlook 2000; Droid Razr ICS
Notes: Under MPE 1.8.2, every time I would sync, outlook would ask me for permission to allow MPE to access it's files. After the 1.8.4 update, outlook stopped asking me for permission, and would just silently fail to update task dates.
Solution: Renaming fjsoftMAPI.dll to fjsoftMAPI_backup.dll caused Outlook to start asking me for sync permission again, and appears to allow MPE to correctly update task dates.
Thanks, taparoles.

We have now 5 diffrent problems in one thread
@thesurfer: Menu-File-Settings-Show logfile
@jayb51: probably there was a change in the calendar databases on the phone, this has nothing to do with the update. Open the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone and check which calendars are selected for sync
@jgt1942: If you do not stop posting double posts then i will decide to ban you
@suthrnboy: Did you enable the sync to Outlook in Menu-File-Settings-Sync ?
@acronym: Please note that MyPhoneExplorer does sync "MPE Tasks" and not any other Tasks app which is maybe installed on your phone |

I, too, am having trouble with Calendar and Notes syncing.
I am running W7-64 and Outlook 2010. I downloaded MPE v1.8.4 (first time install) and client 1.0.21 (via the Play Store). I set up Contacts, Calendar, and Notes to sync one way (Outlook -> Phone). Contacts are updating correctly; however, no calendar entries are being transmitted to the phone and no Notes are being transferred either.
I modified the settings on the phone client to select only "My calendar."
I tried both fixes mentioned earlier in the thread (*.ini, renaming *.dll), but neither seems to have made any difference.
Do you have any advice or can I provide information to assist in diagnosis?
Thanks, Ken |
