why still not working?

Hi
I am talking about the support of NickName field of outlook contact.
We for 100% sure know that nickname field IS supporting from android 2.3.x
but your program for some abnormally unbelievable reason is not supporting this field during the sync operation.
WHY? And how long we should wait till the moment then the support will be added?
This is especially important coz we know that android system does not have field "FileAs". And most of current owners of android cellulars were in near past owners of winMobile's phones.... And of course this field was used heavily in this OS. And right now we have a huge lack of real support of this field in android OS.
So why you do not even try to start to add the support of this field?
You can add for ex. such ability like "get nickname value from FileAs field" - just for the start. As next operation I can suggest "'replace FullName value with FileAs value"

Its already planned to add support for this field, but i don't know when its finished.

And why it was not added from beginning: I simply forgot about this at the beginning and later there were not really much users who missed the sync of this field.

ok - maybe we can try to add as an initial point the next thing:
in vCard object nickname should be coded like this:
X-ANDROID-CUSTOM:vnd.android.cursor.item/nickname;NicknameOfTheContact;1;;;;;;;;;;;;;

1 is a enum:
public static final int TYPE_DEFAULT = 1;
public static final int TYPE_OTHER_NAME = 2;
public static final int TYPE_MAINDEN_NAME = 3;
public static final int TYPE_SHORT_NAME = 4;
public static final int TYPE_INITIALS = 5;

tested on many samsung galaxy xxxxx phones and htc one xxxxx phones.
so I can try to test your new beta with such functionality.

Also I would like to suggest next thing: IF nickname for outlook contact is empty - tool should check field FileAs - and to suggest to user to use the value from this field as a NickName in case then FileAs's value is not empty also.

I understand that the timeframe till the ability of final version may be long
BUT my post said that I have some expectation about the concrete steps of the realization of this feature (see words "to suggest next thing").
So as I understand - you can or agree or disagree. If you agree - I am fine. If disagree - pls say why.

I mean - it would be a really great to know that in your current plans exists a milestone "to add support of the NICKNAME field".

Hello, I would like to also ask politely for the nickname field. I am syncing with outlook and about 25% of my contacts have nickname filled, it is very great field.

Since this is my 1 st post, I would also like to thank you for developing the MPE. I am testing it and hoping for donate. I almost everything solved out already.
