You know my opinion about those cables. They make always problems - my tipp: Use IrDa or buy an original cable (DCU-11 or DSS-25) |

Hi. I use USB cable which was in box with my phone. So I think it's an original cable. My phone is M600i. And I also have this problem: "Phone could not be identified". Your program sees com1, com2, USB modem port and SE application com4 port. I tried to connect via com4 and modem port and got "Phone could not be identified". So where may be a problem?
Thank you for any suggestions. |

After some hacks =) I was able to connect my phone via modem driver.
Your program downloaded from phone only calls. But when I tried to download other info I got this error: "OBEX Eror: ERROR".
So what have I done wrong? |

Oh, sorry. I didn't read FAQ. I went streight from another site (where read that this program supports m600i) to this site.
So there is no way besides SE PC Suite to explore m600i? |

It's pretty easy for you to blame the cable. But if the PC recognizes it and installs the drivers for that "CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller", I think the cable is fine.
But anyway, I'm here asking help for someone with a lot of knowledge like you. Would you please mind sharing with me (us, who knows) what kind of error generates that message on your software, and what problem it could be?
I'd really appreciate. |

OK, since two years i'm helping people daily to connect their phones and i learned something:
The cheap cables from eBay are bullshit !! Many users tried it, but there are always problems. I don't know why i should invest alot of time only cause you want to save 5 Euros for a real DCU11 cable or DSS-25. My time is much more expensive.
If you think its so easy to put the blame on the cable - why you don't try another software (FMA, K700 Dateimanager). I'm near sure that no other software will be able to connect with your phone. |

I just looked at sony ericsson's online store here in Brazil. The DCU-11 cable costs 120 brazilian reais, which roughly means 45 euros.
120 reais is almost 50% of the current minimum salary here... kinda makes you rethink about the worth of things eh
But anyway, the product has been unavailable for months from there accordingly to the page |

Wow - 45€ are very expensive. But i have another idea: Use Bluetooth, a Bluetooth-Stick costs about 20€ and its much more faster then the datacable. |

Bluetooth in a K300i? I don't think so...
I could use the infrared stuff, but I have no idea how it'd connect to my PC.
By the way, I just bought a new cable off an online store, around 5.50 euros... let's see if that one works |

Would work, but note that infrared is much more slower than the cable (about 8KB/s) |

The new cable arrived man, but no luck. Same thing. I install everything OK, drivers are fine etc etc, but the program says "Phone could not be identified".
I even switched batteries to another one I had here.
I don't know what else to do. |
