Hey all.

I m trying to close MPE from running at the background.
I try via tap>information>force stop and
via an app "KillAllApps".
Both failed.
KillAllApps say "failed to close" and with tap
it looks work but it still running at the background.
Is that normal ?
How i can close MPE ?

Thanks. Smile

The MPE client can be closed using the exit button
After a connection is disconnected, the MPE client is automatically closed after 15 minutes.
If that's not the case for you, how do you know that the MPE client has not been closed?

I can see all the running apps via :

1) Kill All Apps application and
2) Developer Options > "Running serevices".

Also i got about 3 hours that i closed MPE at PC and tried to close MPE at the phone. Its still open. Sad

Also when i closed with "Exit" button , it still running.

The “Close” button sends the MyPhoneExplorer client to the background.

If you then tap on the symbol with the three vertical lines in the bottom left corner, you will switch to the task overview.
Here you can swipe the task upwards or tap on the menu item “Close all”.
After that, the MyPhoneExplorer client is completely “closed” in my opinion.

I tried the "Close All" option but it still runs. Thanks.

The fact that apps (not just MPE) are still kept in memory after they are closed is probably due to a standard Android setting Wink

If you don't want this, you can activate = Limit for background processes = No background processes in the Developer Options
Removing an individual app from the process is probably only possible from Android 15 onwards?!

MPE is the only app that Kill all apps cant close and
its the only i cant close manual.
By using KAAs , i can manage if i want close all apps ,
or close specific apps and i can see whats open ,
whats running , and whats is failed to close.
In this last category is only the MPE.
I dont want to close all apps from running at background.
Thanks.

As of MyPhoneExplorer Client Version 4.0, you can also generally deactivate the push function using a tweak.

- Start MyPhoneExplorer on the PC and connect it to the cell phone
- Windowskey+R =>
Code:
myphoneexplorer action=directcommand command=AT*DISABLEPUSH=1
=> <ENTER>
Maybe that will help Confused

I m not sure that i understand when you say "deactivate the push function".
If you mean that if i run this command , the MPE will close at my phone ,
no its not close.
Also i tried to choose "disconnect" from PC's MPE app.
I take a message at my phone that said "MPE will close at 15 minutes".
It not close never.
Thanks.

Ok, I installed the “KillApps” app on two cell phones.
1. Android 13 / MPE client 3.15 beta17
2. Android 6.01 / MPE Client 3.14
On both, the client can be closed easily like all other apps?!

I received more information regarding 'quitting apps':
An app in the Android system is closed when...
1. ... all activities (“windows”) are closed
and
2. ... all services (“Services”) are closed
This is implemented with the MPE client Exclamation
Regardless of this, every app generally remains in the Android system's memory until it is needed for other more important things.

The function of KillApps is identical to the Android function = AppInfo = force stop and delete from memory area.

For me, removing from memory is only not possible for one user app (there are a lot of system apps): DW Contacts

Coudnt put an option at the MPE (desktop or app or both) like "Force close MPE" ? At Windows it would be a command like stop srv MPE or kill MPE. Isnt possible in Android ? I mean at a future update of MPE.

Strange things.

The last 2 days i had a major problem with the sync of my contacts and emails , between my phone , gmail , outlook.com , outlook 2021 and emClient app. No one of these sync 100% ok. So i fixed by (i dont know whats is related) : uninstalled my microsoft account from emclient , uninstalled all my mails (1 windowslive and 1 gmail) from Outlook 2021 , i closed outlook.com page , i uninstall MPE , , i deleted accounts from Control Panel>email/Outlook settings , restarted my phone.

After all these :

1) emclient sync works OK
2) Outlook.com still has problem with the sync of contacts only.
3) Outlook 2021 stil has problem with the sync of contacts only.
4) phone sync works OK
5) gmail sync works OK.

As i fixed these issues , i reinstall MPE.
And Voila ! MPE now can close manually or with KAAs !

Conclusions :
1) If you have the same problem , try to reinstall MPE
2) Dont use Microsofts apps for emails and accounts. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Thanks for your time.
