HTC Desire HD: contacts have Phone only, no SIM

Hello,

With my HTC Desire HD, in Contacts, there is only Phone in sub-menu, no SIM sub-menu. Is it normal? Due to this, I cannot directly edit the data in the SIM card.

Sorry-haven't got an answer for you-but I have same problem with my HTC Desire so would also appreciate solution. I used to be able to see SIM ctcs and also display sender name in SMS messages, but having uninstalled/re-installed MPE last week due connectivity issues only have Phone contacts showing. Any suggestions?

I too have a Desire HD but, unlike you guys, I much prefer having my contacts stored with the phone as the SIM card can only store a limited number of contacts and information. And my *master* copy of my contacts is on my PC.

However, go to 'People>Menu>View' and it gives you the option to display your SIM contacts. I *assume* that you could then edit your SIM contacts.

Access to SIM-Contacts is not planned for android-phones cause its manufacturer specific and will not work with all devices
