Hi All,
I have just "restored" my K770 data onto my X10 Mini Pro and all the appointments are late by 1 hour. e.g. In MPE (And the K770) the time for the event is 15:00-23:00, but in the X10 it shows 16:00-00:00. I know that in Australia we start Daylight Savings in the first week of October now, but ALL the appointments are "late" by 1 hour in the phone.
- X10 Mini Pro, U20i, FW 1.6, Kernal 2.6.29, Build 1.2.A.1.174
- WiFi
- MPE 1.8.0
- WinXP Pro SP3 |

Hi FJ.
Now here is an interesting one once I looked a little closer...
e.g.: 07:00-15:00 "Work", Recurring and no reminder
MPE: 07:00-15:00
X10: When you open up the day view 08:00-16:00
X10: When you tap the screen on the above appointment 07:00-15:00
X10: When you EDIT the appointment 07:00-15:00
Sounds like an Android issue? |

I used to face this problem with Outlook2003 and solve by the following:
- in outlook, goto tool->option
- in tab Preference, press calendar options
- Press Time Zone... botton
- There is a check box of "Show an additional time zone", select it.
- Choose your time zone (choose the same as Current time zone above)
- Press OK, OK, OK until you back to outlook
- Do not do anything, just goto Tool-> Option and go back to the time zone setting again.
- remove Show an additonal time zone (Uncheck it)
- Press OK until you are back to outlook.
- Sync Calendar with MPE
Let's try and see if it helps. |

Please download and try the current beta: www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk
There was a timezone-bug with recurring events which is fixed in the beta. |

Hi FJ, I downloaded the ß, but was unable to install it. What I did in the end was to delete ALL the appointments in my phone, told MPE to mark ALL appointments on my PC to be updated, and the times are now correct, but I am missing Sundays (For when a recurring appointment starts on Thursday and is daily until Sunday.) The Sunday occurance appears on the PREVIOUS Sunday.
e.g.
In MPE: Thu 25, Fri 26, Sat 27 and Sun 28
In Pho: Thu 25, Fri 26, Sat 27 and Sun 21
Setup in MPE: (And shows correctly in the MPE Calendar)
Recurrence Pattern: Weekly
Every/All 3 Week(s) on
Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun |

So you did not the update to the beta but you thought it will work anyway ?
Inbetween the fixed version is available in the market. Install the newest client on phone (1.0.6) and then delete and readd again all appointments |

No I didn't expect it to work if I used the same "Technique" which is why I tried a "work around".
I am already running the 1.0.6 Client, but now the Google Sync is causing the phone to reboot shortly after I turn on the WiFi. It looks like it can't handle the 80+ appointments that I deleted to try and fix the problem I am having in this thread. So now I've got to fix that before I can even connect to MPE again. |

You could disable the automatic sync to google to overide this problem |

As far as I know, It is turned off, (Settings > Data Synchronisation > Auto-Sync (OFF)) but as soon as a WiFi connection is established, the sync starts up. |

Hmpf. Last idea: If your WiFi-Router supports host-filtering then you could set a block-rule for google.com |

OK, I've upgraded to the latest Android version which basically did a factory reset of my phone, so my rebooting due to Sync has been fixed. I have re-synched to MPE (I marked everything as "Force as edited" so everything would be copied back to the phone, but the Sundays are still wrong. OK, I have 2 Appointments recurring, Appointment "A" and "B".
2 Weeks starting on Sunday - How it Should look.
S-M-T-W-T-F-S-S-M-T-W-T-F-S
A-A-_-_-B-B-B-B-_-_-_-A-A-A
How it Does look
S-M-T-W-T-F-S-S-M-T-W-T-F-S
B-A-_-_-B-B-B-A-_-_-_-A-A-A
It appears that even though in MPE when you schedule something "From" a Thursday till Sunday, it takes it as the upcoming Sunday, NOT the previous Sunday as in what is happening now. |

FYI to those with the same problem...
| Zitat: | The log seems OK. MyPhoneExplorer saves now the ruleinformation with Weekstart=Sunday. But it still does not work for you so i tried a simple thing: Create the event on Google-Calendar and sync with the phone. Result on my phone -> the event is not shown correctly. It seems to be a display-bug of the calendar-app on phone.
Best regards FJ |
Looks like I'll have to schedule a single day like I did with the Monday as a work around.
Thanks for your time FJ! |
