Outlook 2007 Sync issues

I have a Samsung Captivate Android phone running 2.2 and a Windows XP Pro desktop running Outlook 2007.

A couple of problems:

1. The calendar sync seems to be working, very, very slow though. After a 1/2 hour or so the phone or PC seems to loose the connection. I have a large calendar, is that a problem?

2. The Outlook Notes sync option is grey'ed out. Can't enable it. I would like to have my Outlook Notes sync'd to my phone. How can I do it?

My goal here is to have my phone sync with Outlook. Does that require a sync to the MyPhoneExplorer and its db first? It is out of date with my outlook too after the initial sync.

Calendar: how many items you have in Outlook (circa) ? Enable "Avoid standby" in the settings of the client
