contacts syncing with Outlook

I try to sync my contacts from Outlook with my HTC disire, using Myphoneexplorer. all seems to go well. On The PC the contacts are right in te Phoneexplorer proramm but on my Phone I see a lot of contacts with the name 'unknow' (no name and nu phonenumber etc.)
Some contacts are syncronized well, but a lot not.
I tried several times. I do not understood wahat is going wrong. I deleted my phone contacts several times and tried again but nothing seems to help.

What happens if you press the "Download entire" button in MyPhoneExplorer ? Get those contacts also corrupted in MyPhoneExplorer ?

The contacts are not corrupted when I press the downlaod entire button. All seems OK.

This means the contacts are stored correct on the phone, it must be a problem in the contacts viewer application. Did you already try to restart your phone ?

Yes I tried and it did not help.
I have 2 contact viewer programms, the original Android and Go contacts: both the sae problem.
By syncing with HTC sync I had no problems with the contacts: they were OK
(but another problem: the telephone was not regognized by HTC sync, this is correct with your programm).

I will try again now.

You say some contacts are shown wrong - is there any matching on which contacts you have the problem ? Does it also happen if you add a new contact directly in MPE ?

I deleted all my contacts a few minutes ago in the telphone and I synced again with Outlook (Outlook force telephone). First I seemed to go OK in MPE on the desktop, but again in the telephone there were only unkown contacts, I pressed 'download entire' again and MPE on te PC had no contacts.

OK, please check the settings "Add contacts to..." in the settings of the client - which account is selected there ?

I did the test: the same problem: this time only "unknown contacts'' in google and 101 in stead of my 437 contacts.

Its really strange cause MPE is already used by thousands of Desire-Users for sync without a problem. There must be something diffrent on your phone which raises then this problem. Are you using the original Firmware ?

Yes, the Phone is 2 weeks old and I changed nothing at all.
I have had a lot of problems with syncing (HTC sync and I mailed several times with HTC but it lasted too long, therefore I tried your software. The calender sync is going well, but now there are problems with syncing contacts.

I work with Outlook and I like this programm (the categories etc). I tried Companian link, but there where also problems with syncing. The programm loched up on my PC and it workedtoo slow.

I regret that I did not buy a windows Phone. Syncing with my PDA using Active sync of windows was always a pleasure.

Your software seems to be good, but i don't have much luch with this Phone.

OK, things become clearer

Maybe it helps to delete the contacts-database instead of the single contacts. You can delete the Contact-Storage in Settings-Applications-Manage applications
