Synchronization of Group Category No Longer Working ...

FJ,

When installing version 1.8.2 of MPE, I had identified the Outlook contacts I was interested in adding to MPE and synchronizing with my HTC Glacier. The process worked well and have regularly been making updates of contacts, calendar, and notes since the initial install.

However, I have recently found that when MPE starts and performs a synchronization, it does not limit the synchronization to my contacts that have been identified as being in a green group category in Outlook. Rather, it attempts to do a synchronization of all my Outlook contacts. Also, the synchronization process does not start automatically when I turn on debugging on the phone after starting the application on my PC.

I have tried to locate within the PC application the spot in which the category setting is located but have not been able to locate it. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the application on the PC and Phone to start from scratch?

You will find the category filter in Menu-File-Settings-Sync-Contacts-Advanced-Exception -> is there everything set right ?

Hello FJ,

Somehow the Green Category exception I had previously defined for Outlook contacts was no longer in the list of exceptions. I had to add the exception once again. Now that this is reset, how do I remove from the phone all of those contacts that are not in the Green Category? Is there a way to identify those and easily delete them en masse? Or do I need to delete all contacts and recopy those in the Green Category?

You could sort your contact-list by group, maybe this helps you to find the right contacts. IMPORTANT: Before you delete this contacts please set the sync to "Only MyPhoneExplorer" and if the phone is OK then set it back to "Outlook"

Yes, of course. Thanks. I had not included the Group for the list of contacts in MPE to see the Category. Thanks again. It is very appreciated. Your application is terrific, to say the least! It is designed very well!
