I will be getting a new Droid tomorrow as mine had a badly cracked screen. I would like all the calendar, SMS and contact info that is on the desktop version of MPE to easily transfer onto my new device with no issues, problems, duplicates, etc.
Can someone advise me, once i get my phone tomorrow, what is the best way to do this with no problems?
Again, there will be no data on the phone, I will be wanting to transfer the info from MPE on my desktop onto my new phone.
Thanks so much!

Just backup your contacts, calendar, etc. from your old phone
Menu > Extras > Create backup
and then restore it to new phone
Menu > Extras > Restore backup
kind regards... |

Ok, so I just synced my old phone that I have to turn in with MPE, simply by choosing the round "sync with Outlook" icon. Are you saying that what you suggested is another step, and I should do this, as well, before trying to get all the data onto my new phone?
Thanks so much for the help! |

Hi CatB,
as data from your old phone was synced to an actual state, you can do that backup i suggested.
When you connect your new phone to MPE, MPE recognises it as a new phone and creates a new account for this, so finally there will be no data for this
new phone/profile.
Next step will be to restore the backup from your old phone (with latest state when you've done the backup). If restore is done, you'll see all contacts, calendars etc. inside MPE.
Now you can sync MPE with your new phone.
kind regards... |

Ok, so when I do that backup you suggested, then connect my new phone via WiFi to MPE, it will notice it as new phone, then all I need to do is choose "Restore Backup" and that will take all the info that was in MPE from my old phone and put it into the new one?
Hope I am understanding this correctly! Thanks for the support |

.med-Files are not supported but maybe you can export the data out of MobileEDIT in a more common format (*.vcf, *.csv) |
