I have been syncing to outlook 2010. I had to rebuild my PC. So now, I am worried that I when I sync, I will duplicate entries. I assume I can overwrite PC or Phone, but I would rather not if I don't have to. Just checking to see if the sync is smart enough to know entries are the same on the first sync.

Set the options so that you have to confirm changes and see what happens.
If worse comes to worse then delete the phone contacts and then force Outlook > Phone. You should try syncing to two PCs or two profiles with a new phone. I got there eventually!
