Unable to connect between computer and Samsung Galaxy Ace

Hello,

First sorry for my poor level of English I am French!

The purpose of my experiment is to connect a Samsung Galaxy Ace PC Windows 7 Home either WiFi or USB in order to recover the photos. But I can not do it!

I installed MyPhoneExplorer on the PC and the client on the smartphone (latest versions).

I initially tried to run the WiFi connection.

On the smartphone the IP address displayed in MyPhoneExplorer Client address "0.0.0.0" or this is not true because I am connected via WiFi SFR box (192.168.1.x).

I tried a second time to run the USB connection.

This shows me an error message.

In short, every time nothing works.

I do not know how to solve this problem.

It's simple I hope it works ideally with WiFi.

Did you check, what IP address is displayed in the WiFi settings of your smartphone (not in MPE settings)? In WiFi settings you see the SSID of your WiFi box. Click on this entry and an information pop up shows the IP and other information. And also check your WiFi box, if your smartphone is really connected to it.

If you try to connect with USB you must have USB-Debuggings switched on. You find this on your smartphone in Settings --> Applications --> Development (path to this setting and naming may differ on different smartphone models).

Thank you for your answer and your help.

I'll see WiFi side when I have time.

If I ever want to try USB is there just to connect the smartphone to the PC via cable, no need to install a driver or software like Samsung Kies?

For USB connection you need ADB drivers, which are automatically installed when you install Kies. Or you can get universal ADB drivers from here: http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20397

Hello,
Since I tested two configurations.
I tried after installing the USB drivers (ADB with Kies not installed on the machine) and with USB-debuggings switched on.
It does not work, here is the error message:

Then I tried it did not WiFi worked better.
In fact, during my first test the box (DHCP) has not issued an IP address to your smartphone that earned me this error message:

Then I did a second test for which the well boxa issued an IP address to your smartphone (192.168.1.80) but with a different error message from previous:

I do not know what to do now that the link operates in either USB or WiFi, ideally both, of course!

Try to connect via USB and then post the logfile.

Cause of WiFi: Both devices - PC and Phone - have to be in the same local network. Try if you can reach your phone using the ping command in windows. And also try to set the IP adress manually in the connection option "fixed IP"
