We (FossHub) don't modify the binaries (setup files) and the author, in this case for MyPhoneExplorer is responsible for its own software.

I repeat, we do not bundle/add installers/pop-ups or any other crap.

Many Open Source/Freeware projects seems to use bundles/installers so we're working at something that could warn the user about this.

Bei der Installation von 1.8.5 wurde ich gefragt, ob ich eine Software mitinstallieren wollte, die alle YouTube-Videos herunterladen kann.

Ich Idiot habe "Ja" geantwortet.

Danach kamen während der Installation zwei Meldungen nacheinander von Avira, dass hier Spyware geladen werden sollte. Die erste habe ich noch blockiert, die zweite ignoriert, wei ich dachte, es wäre ein false positive.

Jetzt habe ich das bunteste Comic-Studio in meinem Firefox-Fenster. Rechts, links, oben, unten, in der Mitte - überall blinkts und strahlt und erklärt mir, mein PC wäre kurz vor'm Abstürzen und bla und blubb.

Musste das sein?

Ich kann leider nicht jeden Werbeanbieter selbst kontrollieren, aber wenn sich die zusätzlich installierte Software nichtmehr problemlos über die Systemsteuerung deinstallieren lässt dann gib mir Bescheid und ich blockiere den jeweiligen Anbieter.

Ich bin das Zeug wieder losgeworden. Witzigerweise hat mein teuer bezahltes Avira 7 Stunden 'rumgeeiert und es nicht geschafft. Auch Spybot Search and Destroy hat es nicht entfernt gekriegt.

Der kostenlose Microsoft Defender aus den Security Essentials hat das im Handumdrehen erledigt.... Sollte ich wohl über einen Wechsel des Antivirus-Programms nachdenken? - Andererseits Avira hatte mich gewarnt, ich war nur zu dusselig und habe "Ignorieren" geklickt, sonst wäre das gar nicht passiert. Ob mich der Defender auch gewarnt hätte...?

Naja, jedenfalls ist erstmal Ruhe und alles gut
