Hi!
If you have bluetooth and winamp, check this out
www.trentham.co.za/download/Winamp.hid
This was designed on the K700 program from FJ.
I'm stuck where "1" doesn't want to do anything (in this hid i have it as "Previous Track", or "B")
Everything else seems to work...
Let me know if anyone has a suggestion, please.
PS. Left-Click on the WinAmp shortcut in START -> PROGRAMS -> WINAMP, select "Properties" and make the "Shortcut key" CTRL+SHIFT+W
This will enable the "attention" of WinAmp if it's minimised or even closed...
Enjoy! |

(I know this msg if not fully related to MPE, so you may delete it on your
discretion.)
I always wanted to use the Bluetooth Remote Control feature on my K750 and
K510, which have built-in HID profiles. However, I never succeeded.
I've downloaded software from SE:
http://developer.sonyericsson.com/site/global/newsandevents/latestnews/newsoct06/p_newui_bluetooth_remote_control.jsp
read the PDF on HID profiles, checked that my Bluetooth supports it, and it
never worked, not on my PC, laptop, anyone's PC. Maybe I'm missing something
important. Do I need a running application on PC to handle remote access?
This is not the app I linked above.
(When I select my PC as a device I want to control, Bluetooth fails to
connect only in that case. Same is on each PC with different Bluetooth
models, all HID-enabled.)
If anyone came across this issue, please share your story with me.
Thanks,
Ivan |

Hy
Generally the HID-feature on the K750 is a littlebit buggy. I have the same problems on my W800i but on my K700i and K800i there is no problem.
Not every BT-Software supports the HID-Service, check this out before. Then pair the phone with the BT-Software on the PC. Initiate the HID-Service on the BT-Software from PC.
You see - the first time go from PC->Phone. If this work its possible that it works also if you start the remote control in your phone. |

Thank you for your kind input. I checked, my BT supports HID (or so they say in specification, maybe the other version?). I did pair devices first.
Unfortunately I can not follow you on this one: "Initiate the HID-Service on the BT-Software from PC" --> there is no such an option! Where should it be? I've checked all BT settings, even Control Panel, "HID" is mentioned nowhere.
Is there any other kind of help you can offer me?
I would appreciate your input very much.

I took a look at my BT-Software (WIDCOMM) and there is no way to initiate it from PC - my fault. But on my Laptop it worked this way (Bluesoleil-Software) |

Thnx for your help. Now we know this problem is Bluetooth manufacturer-related. Can you please suggest me for which type of Bluetooth PC adapter to look for in order use HID profiles and my cell as a remote?
MSI? Trust? Sweex? Or it's purely driver dependant? I'm not expert on this one, and also this is off the MPE topic. Sorry.
Thanks from Ivan |

Zitat: | Generally the HID-feature on the K750 is a littlebit buggy. |
I would try before a K700i or a K800i from a friend. I own these two models and with this phones it works great. |

I also have K510i, and it still doesn't work. Is this buggy as well as K750?
Thanks, Ivan |

I'm talking only from my experience. I have a W800i (Same software as the K750-series). The phone has problems to initiate the HID-Service. Maybe it as fixed in a later firmware-upgrade. But its how i said: first i would check out if it depends really on the PC (with trying a K700i or K800i). |

i reckon blutooth may eventually become as irritating as a floppy drive...
anyways...
one of the things to check when trying to access your pc via bluetooth from your phone is in the Control Panel, BlueTooth Devices, then check this pic...
i'm concentrating on the "Allow bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" option.
It's a simple thing, but it could be the simple problem... |
