How to sync previous phones (User 1) contact with new phone

HELP please ! My last samsung Galaxy S just died. Luckily ALL my Data was saved and synced regularly to MPE.

I just purchased the Samsung Core 2 came home, to merrily sync all my previous data to new phone. Gave it a new name and can not find ANY way to sync info..... ????

Should I change the name to now DEAD OLD phones name ?? Or is there an easier way to now syn this info to new phone ?

I just tried synching to Outlook 2013, does not seem to work.

I used to have all the data syncehed to my "Last" computer Win 7, that also died and now have with Win 8.1 and outlook 2013, BUT did not sync old phone to outlook before it went dead.....

WHAT and HOW can I retreive ALL my data and transfer to my new phone ? And then to my new computers outlook ???

I do not know about outlook syncs, since I don't use that software.

If however, your information is in MPE, check at the bottom left "user" section. There you should see your old phone.

Click on it.

Go to Menu > Extras > Create backup.

Now again in user section you should see your NEW phone.

Click on that entry and go to Restore backup and select the previously breated backup. Note that this action will delete everything that is there now and OVERWRITES all records with the backup.
