Syncing Outlook 2007 and Android 5 calendar

Hello,

Though I managed to connect my Note 3 with MPE via USB and Bluetooth (WiFi not working for some reason), they do not sync the calendar. There is just one calandar on both PC and Android. Android calendar on the phone syncs with Google calendar properly. In other words if I create an entry on the phone or web interface of Google calendar they both sync. But an entry on Outlook does not show on Note 3 neither the entry on Note 3 shows in Outlook. Up until recent updates of MPE all worked fine. Please help. Please. Thank you.

You clearly have a settings problem.
Check all the settings in the MPE on your computer and the Client on the phone.
And don´t forget, syncing the MPE with both Outlook and Google doesn´t work properly.

Hello and thank you for taking time to write back. I have thoroughly checked the settings on both apps:
I do not synchronize either calendar with Google. I use Android to do that – no problem.
But because Microsoft discontinued synchronizing Outlook with Google, I use MSE to synchronize Phone (Android) with Outlook 2007.
Connection-> in MSE is set to either WiFi or Autodetect Phone type Android, naturally.
In Sync-> I choose sync with Outlook where in Advanced -> folder and data file of the Outlook and sync both
I only have one calendar in Android and so I do not touch settings in MPE Android at all.
Please, could you advise if you see anything in my settings that is wrong?
I have also changed the location of the Outlook data file and folder, though nothing helps.

What happens, if you make an entry on MPE-Calendar and sync ?

Hello, Icke,

Thank you for writing back. Providing I connect via USB an entry from the Outlook is shown in MPE Desktop and on my Android Galaxy Note 3 and vice versa and it is now records in the Outlook calendar. No other types of connection work however I try. It looks like it is definitely a wireless connection problem of some sort. I tried to reinstall MPE on both devices clean, but it still does not work.
Incidentally, the problem surfaced shortly after I updated the MPE on the phone, that it towards the end of July this year. At the time I was on Android 4.3. My Note 3 updated to Android 5,but it did not help either. I see no settings in MPE on the phone which could possibly fix the problem. Sorry for taking your time and I thank you for your help.

Ok eliano, Icke1954 and I have discussed this. We just have to be sure that we´re facing the right problem here.

You say, using the USB connection everything works fine and everything is synced properly but using Wifi or BT doesn´t work because you can´t get a propper connection between PC and phone. Is that right?

Thank you for writing back.
I have run a few tests all over again. Syncing via USB and Bluetooth works in MPE desktop, MS Outlook and Galaxy Note 3.
With that I have to set the corresponding connections to USB cable and Bluetooth.
If I set connection to WiFi, Automatic or Fixed IP Address the Note does not connect at all even if the Note is physically connected via USB cable and BT.
This is the error - "Connection to phone could not be established. Phone could not be identified"
Naturally, all devices are connected to the same network.
Every firewall on the PC is disabled or allowing MPE.

It looks like there´s a problem providing a stable Wifi connection.
Try to connect via Wifi and post the Programm Log here after that please.

Hello,

For some reason the only LOG saved is the one below. It goes back days though I have been trying to connect over the past hours and only just minutes ago. I removed my login to windows in MINIX Windows. The rest is intact.

Ok, heres what we whant you to do.

What is set in the MPE Client on the phone?
There must be something like this: Wlan connect with "[SSID]" (192.168.1.69) should be right

Can you do a Ping-test? What´s the result?

Are the phone and computer both are connected via Wifi? many Routers have an option to set to allow both devices to cummunicate to each other. This must be activated.

Are the phone and the computer connected to the same Router and subnet?

- Now, try to set a fix IP to the phone and activate this option in the MPE client.
- Restart the Router
- Restart the somputer
- Restart the phone
- Connect
- Give us the Logfile

Remember, restarting means complete shutdown and not only the menue given restart option.

Hello,
I did factory reset the phone and installed MPE. I have restarted the router and the PC. I did not make any changes in settings in MPE on the phone– devices connected straight away and syncing went smoothly.
It appears you were absolutely right – there was a Wifi connection with a phone as I did not make changes on the PC MPE.
I tested syncing all three MPE – Phone – Outlook a few times and it works flawlessly!
I thank you ever so much for helping me out!
PS The log file though does not change though - it still goes back to 08 October. The content of the log is not changing at all.
