Odd problem sharing Contacts via Messenger (Android Nexus 6)

When I try to Share a Contact via text message, I get the error "Messenger failed to load attachment". Steps are as follows:

1. Select a contact from Contacts.
2. Click 3-dots, choose Share
3. Select Messenger
4. Select a Contact to send to. The moment I select the Contact to send to, I get the above Messenger error.

So what does this have to do with MPE you ask? Simple. This ONLY happens with phone Contacts that I have sync'd from Outlook via MPE. If I Share a Google contact (sync'd from my Google account), it shares OK. However, if I try to share one that's been sync'd via MPE, I get the "failed to load attachment" error.

I'm not sure what's going on here and it is super frustrating. Is MPE stuffing something into the phone storage Contacts that makes them un-shareable via Messenger?

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I´d guess it has something to do with the contacts picture.
vcards are normally sent via MMS and not via SMS.
Try to check if there is a setting in your phone that allows to convert SMS into MMS if needed.

No, there's nothing in any settings I could find that allows you to force the format. This is a stock Google Android phone (Nexus 6 with Android 6.0.1).

Keep in mind that I can share a Contact that has been sync'd via Google. I just can't share one that's been sync'd via MPE. Is MPE inserting something into the vCard to identify it that Messenger doesn't like? Is there RTF in there?

I even tried making a Test Contacts folder in Outlook with only two contacts in it. I deleted Contacts storage on the phone and used MPE to sync the Test Contacts to the phone. I couldn't share those two Contacts either (same error).

And there are no "pictures" in any of my contacts.

Well, there must be any setting regarding the use of SMS vs. MMS.

The MPE does not add anything to your contacts.

Is there a discrepancy in the accounts, your contacts are stored in (google vs. local)?
