How to delete/edit group name in edit contact ?

1. Edit the contact (double click or right click -> Edit).
2. Click the Group-button at the top of the Edit-Dialog.
3. In the Group-dialog you can do one or more of the following:
- check an existing group to add the contact to that group
- uncheck an existing group to remove the contact from that group
- key a name into the field on the lower right, to create a new group

I have a need to change/modify the existing Group List.

All I seem to be able to find is how to Add more groups to the List.

I would also like the ability to delete Group entries from the List so that the list is not too messy.

If there is a way to do this & I have not found it yet, could you please show me the way..

Under Marshmallow 6.0.1, I found a way to rename a group, but so far nothing to delete one.

Install the app "DW Contacts"

DW-Contacts => Groups => Press and hold Group=>
- Group edit
- Group delete
