connexion failure after phone re-install

Hi everybody!

My phone (an Acer E39 with Android 4.4.2) had a sound problem, so I sent it back to the manufacturer for service. Before that, I saved all my data on my computer using MyPhone Explorer (MPE).

When I got my phone back, Acer had re-installed the operating system and changed the motherboard.

Now, here is my problem: when I connect the computer to the phone with MPE, MPE asks me to create a new user account!

In other words, it does not accept to connect the former user account to my phone (or it does not recognize it).

Please, how can I fix this?

Check the IMEI, it sounds like the IMEI has been changed.

Ok, here is what I did:

. I checked my new IMEI number on my phone

. I replaced the former IMEI number in the general.ini file where it is on my computer

. I replaced the former IMEI number in the name of the sub-directory

... and it works!

Well, I was about to give you the details after you confirmed that the IMEI has changed but it seems not necessary any more.
