Loading entries from Outlook failed!” when syncing calendar

MPE application 1.8.7 recently reloaded
MPE phone client 1.0.40 recently reloaded

The phone is connected via WIFI.
Have used MPE for 6-7 years, VERY pleased with it.
All worked well, then…. I moved calendar, notes, contacts and tasks from .ost file to .pst file (set as default) so that I can backup the .pst file. After this all still syncs ok except for calendar which gives “Loading entries from Outlook failed!”.
I checked that file/settings/sync/advanced… is pointing at correct calendar .pst file.
I am not sure what I am missing, or has the evil empire been busy again? Any help or advice you can give will save me more hours of precious time!

Solved I think. Seems associated with large number of entries in outlook 'deleted items' folder. If these are not removed before running MPE a large number of duplicate entries are created in outlook non mail folders. Eventually MPE starts to fail in random ways.
