Moving Call Logs from Android 5 phone to new Android 10 phon

Hi,

I'm upgrading my wife's phone from an old Android v5 to a Pixel 1 running Android 10.

Most of the upgrade has gone ok, except that, although I have exported the call logs from the old phone and imported them to the new one via MyPhoneExplorer and indeed can see them under the MyPhoneExplorer call log section on the PC, they are not visible on the new phone.

All good ideas welcomed, I have tried a couple of solutions including installing the 1.0.48 client (which enabled me to restore the SMS messages) on the new phone, but to no avail.

I'm probably missing something bleeding obvious. Help!

Please use the MPE functions Extras => Create Backup & Restore Backup

Well, I did use CREATE BACKUP to create a backup of the old phone. Then I connected to the new phone and did RESTORE BACKUP.

This results in the old calls being visible in the Call Log section of MyPhoneExplorer on the PC but not visible on the phone.

I then tried a BACKUP of the new phone and another RESTORE to no benefit.

I have the same problem.
Formerly, I could back up my Samsung A3 and restore it to My S7 and vice versa. Call logs and SMS would transfer from one 'phone to the other.

Now the call logs and SMS messages show on the PC MPE, but not the 'phone.
I am now using MPE 1.8.12

I have not run a backup and restore since since October last year and I was on MPE 1.8.10 or 11, not sure which.

If you need more details (phone info etc) let me know and I'll pass them to you.

Due new updated developer guidelines of Google its no more possible for an app to hold the permission for sending messages, and initiating calls and also to have write access to the sms database and call log for the same app. Please take a look at this: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9047303
Currently the only possibility is to use the last version of MyPhoneExplorer Client before the policy update ( 1.0.48 ) which can be downloaded here: https://www.fjsoft.at/files/mpeclient_1.0.48.apk
