My "My Phone Explorer" - Suggestions

Dear Sir,

I am working as the head of the software division on one of the leading regional rural bank in India. I purchased SE K800I two months back and since then I am using MPE. I normally attend/make around 100 calls/messages/e-mails per day and I am using almost all the utilities of the phone and MPE.

First of all I take this oppurtunity to congratulate you for this beautiful software and I like to place the following suggestions which I feel will be very beneficial for me as well as to the other users also who are using the phone like me.

I request you to please go through the same and incorporate in the software, if feasible and technically possible:

Global Hot Keys:

1. Include provision to define more global hot keys for the following options in the "Options" screen.

a. Display/Hide Phone Key Pad (single shortcut key).

b. Display/Hide My Phone Explorer Window (single shortcut key).

c. Increase/Decrease Volume (single shortcut key).

d. Play/Pause Music (single shortcut key).

e. Right key (R) of the phone key pad.

f. Left key (L) of the phone key pad.

g. Back key (B) of the phone key pad.

h. Delete key (C) of the phone key pad.

i. Joystick press.

j. Joy stick - Bent right side

k. Joy stick - Bent left side

l. Joy stick - Bent up side

m. Joy stick - Bent right side

Phone Key Pad:

1. Provide a minimize button in the form.

2. Form of the phone key pad can be made more beautiful like other screens.

3. Display the alphabets also in the phone key pad keys (Ex: ABC in the button "2").

Calls (All/Recieved/Dialled/Missed):

1. Load the details of a call in a form to view the following details as no provision is there to read a lenghy note in full, stored while making a call:

Name :
Number :
Time :
Note :

(Load the details on double click by the mouse/"Enter" key press in the keyboard on a selected entry as provided in the message list)

Organiser:

1. At present provision to insert a new note is there. I request you to incorporate a provision to view, edit and delete the existing notes.

2. In Tasks, provide one more option to set a reminder to make a call. If opted, accept the phone number from the phone list. While firing the reminder on the scheduled time, provide an option to make the call directly from the reminder window.

Other:

1. Memory status - Include the memory status of memory stick also.

Messages:

1. Incorporate provision for the following:

E-Mail:

a. Provision to view/delete the e-mails recievied.

b. Provision to write new e-mail.

c. Provision to trigger the process "Send/Recieve".

If permits, I am interested in joining the testing team of the future releases of the software.

You have many suggestions

Global Hotkeys. 1 a,b: I'll take a look at it. c,d: No it makes no sense to create for every single action a new hotkey

Phonekeypad:
1.) Minimizebutton - i will take a look at it
2.) More beautiful ? What is not correct in the window ? Give me a screenshot how it should look like in your opinion

In the next update you'll be able to read and edit the call-notes in a extra-window

Organizer
1. Its technically not possible to read out the notes from the phone
2. Probably in the next major release

Its technically not possible to get the status of the memorystcik in phone-mode

Mail:
In general there is no way to access the emails in the phone from external software.
