Problems syncing with Thunderbird

I have recently switched from Outlook 2007 (!) to Thunderbird for email & other contact management functions.
In attempting to sync between my phone & tablet (both Samsung) I receive a message that the MPE add-in needs to be activated in Thunderbird.
According to Thunderbird it is activated.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening & how to get round/correct it?

EDIT - What I meant to say was that I'm trying to sync both my phone & tablet with Thunderbird on my PC (but obviously separately!)

- Uninstall the MyPhoneExplorer Addon in Thunderbird
- Restart Thunderbird
- install the newest addon from Thunderbird store: https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thund ... er/?src=ss
- Restart Thunderbird again

Now it should work
