Can anyone PLEASE assist ???

I have used MPE for years sucessfully but since changing my PC, my S21 Samsung just won't connect. Also have now started using McAfee...and tried switching off the firewall to try connect. I have also reinstalled MPE numerous times. The socket error message seems to be the key. Would appreciate help to connect. PC is running W11 as well.

This error message is a clear hint that another software blocks the communication of MyPhoneExplorer. Please set a exception in McAfee for MyPhoneExplorer

I spent over an hour on the phone with McAfee. Switched off anti virus and firewall. Windows firewall also shown as being off.
Same result:
SocketError: 10013 - The requested address is a broadcast address, but flag is not set

Is it possible some other program is the culprit?
How can I track this?

Try a 'search' for other requests for help with wifi problems, you'll get lots of ways to diagnose the issue.

But can the new PC see your phone? Get your phone's ip address from it and try to 'ping' it from your pc. If that fails then you have some form of networking issue.

I spoke to McAfee my anti virus program as this problem looked like a firewall issue. Also to Samsung as I thought it might be my phone. Neither could be identified as being the problem for certain.
Then I spoke to an old friend who is a brilliant IT guy. He did a bit of research and whilst he could not fix it, he confirmed that something was firewalling MPE and not allowing the phone to connect.
I completely deleted MPE on the PC and phone.
I then deleted my NORD VPN program as this has some internet 'protection'.
Then re-installed MPE and it all connected and worked just fine. Many months of 'anguish' !!
So NORD VPN was the issue all along.
I then re-installed NORD and I have my VPN program working fine and MPE works fine also.

In the case of problems with 'Nord VPN' I was only aware of the error message 'IP address of the cell phone not found'.
