MPE stopped working

I used MPE for quite a few years, but lately I'm having issues with connecting from my pc to my phone. I use Win 10 and Samsung S20 F 5G. right now I am not able to connect at all. MPE cannot find my phone either with WiFi or USB. I am at lost here. even after I manually enter the IP address, it still does not find the phone.
I even reverted to version 1.9 but to no avail. any ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. thank you. Denys

Here again all the information regarding the WLAN connection:

Install the latest version of the MPE + the MPE client
The phone's MPE client should display the following:
WLAN active
Own IP address: (192.168.AAA.XXX)
MPE => settings => connection =>
- Activate mobile phone with Google Android operating system
- Activate WiFi
Mobile phone and PC must be connected to the same router
Mobile phone + PC must be in the same subnet: 192.168.AAA must be identical in the IP addresses (e.g. 192.168.2.100 / 192.168.2.21)
If the PC is also connected to the router via WiFi: Activate the option "... WiFi devices may communicate with each other" in the router
If the router has the setting "Separate IP addresses for LAN and WLAN" (e.g. in Easyboxes), this must be deactivated
If a software firewall is in use, the following release should be available for MPE: TCP outgoing to target address [IP address of the mobile phone] Port: 5210
If you still can't connect...
- Restart MPE client
- restart phone
- Restart the wireless router
Can you ping your cell phone from your PC?!
- On the PC start button = cmd + enter
- ping 192.168.XXX.XXX (the phone's IP) + enter
You should also try a fixed IP address...
- In MPE: F2 = Fixed IP address
- Then you should also give the mobile phone a fixed IP address (between 2-19 is advisable, these are usually not assigned automatically by the router), which is not used by any other device
- Cell phone : Settings = WLAN = [WLan name] connected press and hold = Network config. change = advanced options
  IP address : e.g. 192.168.1.10
- Gateway: (IP of the Fritzbox) e.g. 192.168.1.1
An installed VPN program (e.g. NordVPN) can also be responsible for the fact that no connection to the cell phone is established
The "Allow local network discovery" function must be activated on the mobile phone.
NordVPN = Settings (top left corner of NordVPN application) = Allow local network discovery
The "Invisibility in the LAN" function must be deactivated on the PC.
NordVPN=Settings=top right corner="Enhanced invisibility on LAN"

Thanks for your help. I finally figure out how to make the IP address the same. I went to the MPE folder and under the file 'Setting.ini", I change the IP address according to the one on my phone. it works!!!

I've been trying to make sense of the thread but still cannot get my phone to connect to MPE. I had to replace my mobile phone that had worked fine with MPE. I replaced it with an identical model (Samsung S20 FE 5G, Android 13, MUI 5.1). I reinstalled MPE both on the phone and the PC. No luck connecting via WiFi or USB or fixed IP address. All relevant authorizations (e.g."phone") should be activated here

Hello,
I have an identical problem starting today. Samsung S20 FE 5G, actual MPE Client on W11 and Android 13.

Connection works, Multisync starts with contacts, but then with calender sync the W11 client disappears

3 days ago all works well, the only change was the 22H2 Build 22621.2215 update

Hello,
I've checked steps 1 to 9 and all are working. The step with te fixed IP address I will not try because I'm not so sure what exactly to do.

I see in MPE Smartphone and MPE W11 that the connection is established

I can start Multisync and the sync for phonebook is starting.

then i see the calender entries to sync, but after choose OK MPE closes

and now it's got funny.

I tried it 4 times to make some screenshots, and now it works for the first time since yesterday.

I will check the next days if the problem occurs again.
