I lost my phone but I was archiving it, do I need the IMEI or does MPE save it somewhere? in deviceid.txt I have a number like xxxxxxxx-yyyy-zzzz-kkkk-wwwwwwwwwwww

When you first install the MPE client on your cell phone, a new ID is usually generated for each new device.
In order to transfer the data from the old cell phone, it is advisable to back it up using the MPE = Extras = Create backup function (offline backup without a cell phone) and to the new cell phone using MPE = Extras = Restore Backup
I think we don't understand each other - I need to extract the IMEI number from the archived data

Since Android 10 it is no longer possible to read the IMEI.
This means that MPE generates an ID in order to be able to clearly identify the devices.
If you need the IMEI of your old phone for whatever reason, no one will be able to help you.
