My devices Samsung Galaxy S21 & Samsung Galaxy Tab A9. Both are on Android v14. I'm using MPE Desktop v2.0 and MPE Client v3.9 on both mobile devices.
Up until Android 14, I was able to install third party apps from my Desktop MPE to both devices via the ‘install application icon’. Now, all that happens is MPE appears to transfer the app to the mobiles as an upload bar appears but at the end the bar disappears, the app is not installed and no message on mobiles e.g. ‘do you want to install this app’.
Is this due to Android 14 or my settings?
Is MPE going to be updated to reinstate the install app facility?
I had to remove this functionality because Google made alot of problems - they wanted to ban MyPhoneExplorer Client from Play Store because he "offers users to install Apps outside Google Play" I will try to re-enable this feature in some month but for now its too risky.
Workaround: Upload the apk-Files to any folder on the phone and from there open the file with a common filebrowser app.
