Calendar backup and restore.

Hi,
I have been working through my calendar and deleting old reminders etc.
If I then create a backup followed by a restore, everything I changed is forgotten and the 'old' calendar re-appears. today
A different but related issue is that my my calendar only shows some events for
today even though they cam be seen on the App on the PC. If I edit the event then sync it, it will appear on the phone. But disappears after a backup and restore.
I am using Win10 on PC and the phone is Samsung s20 running Android 13 / 5.1 One UI.
Any thoughts as I feel I am going round in circkles.

Extra bit of information / different scenario.
Suppose I have a reminder that repeats on the first of the month and have had so since January 1st 2024. Each time the event pops up, I check and then delete it; it then pops up next month.
If I perform a backup of events and tasks and then restore it, all the repeating events from January 1st 2024 are restored, even though I deleted each one.
Surely, if it shouldn't restore deleted events ?

If you changes data in MPE on the PC and then create a backup without first synchronization with your cell phone, old unchanged data are secured from the cell phone, that is correct
This means that the fuse is created by the data of the cell phone and not from the PC.
