Short version of my question:
It would be nice if I could sync only certain Categories with my Computer.

Long version:
I use MyPhoneExplorer to sync my Android phone's Address Book with my Outlook Desktop on my PC. I would love it if I could sync certain categories in my Outlook address book and hold other categories back from syncing. Is that possible right now or maybe in the future?

P.S. I create Catgories in Outlook to separate certain Outlook records from others. For example: Friends vs Business Contacts

No, this is not possible.
Why don't you just delete the superfluous categories ?

The categories are not superfluous. My address book records are sorted by Category. For example, some belong to the 'Friends' category, while others belong to the "Business Contacts' category. It would be nice if I could choose to synchronise teh 'Friends' category, but not the other.

Ok, I still don't understand the meaning and purpose of your project.
You are probably the first with this special wish, i.e. I don't think that FJ will implement it?!

Er hat halt nur ein Telefon, welches er privat und auch beruflich nutzt. Darin gespeichert hat er private und auch berufliche Kontakte. Nun will er im Büro den MPE nutzen um zu synchronisieren.

Was beim Kalender eine einfache Trennung zwischen privatem und beruflichem ermöglicht, ist die Verwendung von mehreren lokalen Kalendern. So kann er seine beruflichen Termine synchronisieren während seine privaten Kalendereinträge nicht in sein Outlook übernommen werden, weil die seine Kollegen einfach nichts angehen.

Bei den Kontakten, und hiernach fragt er ja, hat er das Problem, dass eine einfache Trennung nicht möglich ist. Zwar hat er sie auf seinem Telefon in zwei verschiedene Kategorien unterteilt aber beim sync werden halt immer alle Kategorien mitgenommen.

Ich habe bei mir das gleiche Problem. Meine Lösung besteht allerdings darin, dass keiner meiner Kollegen in Outlook Zugriff auf meine Kontakte hat.

Insofern fände ich eine Einstellmöglichkeit schon reizvoll. Und wenn nicht für die breite Masse, vielleicht über einen Eintrag in der .ini-Datei.
