Does anyone know a good non-subscription calendar app?

Can anyone please suggest a non-subscription MPE & privacy friendly app? I don't mind paying but dislike subscriptions. Using MPE portable + Business Calendar but having weird problem with recurring events and birthdays moving back 1 day. It could be a lot of things but if there's another decent calendar app I want to start there. Thank you.

Is Outlook also integrated into your sync? If so, the problem (summer/winter time change) is known, but can only be circumvented with workarounds.
