*Sorry about my poor english

I have made a custom remote control for my Media Player. Cool, but how I upload it?

I see this question in some web SE forum's. In MPE, just upload the file through the button UPLOAD JAVA APLICATION.

Thats the only way using MPE to do this fast.

The other way in MPE, is sending the HID file by regular upload on a directory of another phone, in this case the phone will not recognize the file (even if it was an SE phone), so you will need to send this file to your SE phone. After the transfer, your phone will atomaticaly recognize the file and ask if u want to install this new remote control on your phone.

Sumary
Case 1:
MPE ---> UPLOAD JAVA APLICATION ---> Your phone

Case 2:
MPE ---> Regular Upload ---> Another phone ---> Regular Send File ---> Your phone

Case 3: (not mentioned)
MPE ---> Regular Upload ---> Your phone ---> Atatched file on MMS ---> Your phone again

Conclusion
Will be nice change the name of button UPLOAD JAVA APLICATION  and add the "*.HID" file.

I think this kind of operation performed by the button UPLOAD JAVA APLICATION is called "PUSH" right? Correct me if I wrong.

Thats is it!
Regards.

Just change the filter to "All files" in the opendialog of the Java-Upload-Function

Yes, I do that.

But for a regular user will be hard to discover this funcionality. In fact UPLOAD JAVA APLICATION upload anything.

Just keep it in mind.

Only as information - you can install hids and javas also if you upload them to the root-folder. The install-java-feature does the same.

Almost!

My phone recognize the jar or jad file in any folder (not only in the root), and install it if is selected to do this.

The HID file, in some folder (like OTHERS folder), is not recognized by the phone and the phone do not install it like javas, but HID file in root-folder I dont know, aint tryed yet... but if u say thats true... is true!
