G900, Vista 32, PC Suite

I got today my G900, and installed the latest PC suite.
It installed mrouter, which is running in the tray.

I then downloaded and installed My Phone Explorer 1.7.

When I start my phone explorer, and let it find the G900 under options, it find it properly.

I can connect to the phone, but whenever I click anywhere in My Phone Explorer, an error dialog popup:

"This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy.
Choose 'Switch to' to activate the busy application and correct the problem".

If I click "Switch to", it just brings the My Phone Explorer Window to the foreground.

I am running Vista 32, as admin.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, after it detected the phone, and I shut down MPE, start it again, I can not do anything anymore. When I click options in the menu, the same error dialog popup immediately. Like MPE is trying to do something and can not finish it and hangs.

To be able to use ANY menu of MPE again, I have to delete the My Phone Explorer folder in appdata...

Also, If the dialog appear, and I exit MPE, the window close but its still running in the task manager.

"This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy.

This dialog appears when a ActiveX-Component does not react - in your case its mRouter.

Does the sync with the PC-Suite work ?
If you want to try it again - close the PC-Suite first from the tray-menu.

Yes, pc suite works absolutely fine, no issues at all.
I closed the PC suite, tried it again, its always the same result.
When I delete the folder "My Phone Explorer" in the appdata folder, I can select options and search for the phone. It find the phone properly. But once it created the "My Phone Explorer" folder in appdata, it does not work anymore, with or without pc suite running.

This is when I delete the "My Phone Explorer" folder in appdata and start it again:

When I click OK, and click after that anywhere in the window, I get:

Shutting it down, killing the still running myphoneexplorer.exe task, starting it again, going to options and this appear:

Starting pc suite, sync, file transfer, all is fine.

Any idea? I use MPE since a long time, just now for the first time with the G900. Never had any issue.

The problem has to do with mRouter (which i cannot support or debug).
Did you already try to reinstall the PC-Suite ? maybe with a newer version ?

I use the latest available version...

I re-installed it at least 3 times.

As I still used my K800i, I did not have PC suite/mRouter installed at all, and all worked fine.

If it is a mRouter issue, should not everybody have this issue?

mRouter is only needed if you connect to a Symbian-Phone. Its not needed for normal phones like the K800i.

I don't think that the issue is directly in mRouter. I think its your system, cause you are the first one which has this problem. Did you try it also on another PC ?

I just tried it on my daughters PC, also Vista Ultimate. That PC had never anything related to Sony Ericsson or Nokia installed, and I have the same issues there...
Look like the latest PC Suite together with MPE does not like Vista Ultimate...?

Is there any way to debug MPE, to know at least WHY it is waiting forever for a "busy" application (which might be mrouter or some DLL)?

Very strange - you are really the first user with this problem. You could run MPE in debugmode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK

Then post the logfile after you you got the message and after you waited some time with the box showed.

This is what is in the log. After that, I have to kill the MPE process via taskmanager, no other way to exit it.
