Hi, I have bought a Belkin F8T016 bluetooth adapter (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=398674) in order to connect my K810i with MyPhoneExplorer, without USB cable. But this isn't working... I have installed its driver successfully, then connected the phone with my PC. 3 icons has been created under My Bluetooth Places: OBEX Object Push, OBEX File Transfer and OBEX IrMC Sync, but no new ports have appeared in Device Manager, and of course I can't see any new ports in MPE either. I was told that at the Control Panel I should have an icon that I can adjust the port for bluetooth with, but there is only one new icon and I can't see port settings anywhere. What could be the problem? Can the adapter even handle this function? Please help me. Thanks in advance. Bye! |

Please take a look at the Bluetooth-Software and/or drivers to se which Bluetooth-Stack you are using. The most commons are:
- Widcomm/Broadcom
- Bluesoleil/IVT
- Toshiba
- Windows own Bluetooth-Stack
If i know which stack you are using then its easier to help you. |

Dear friend,
if it was that simple we wouldn't have any problems...!!!
The problem is that there is NOT a choice of Serial Port after the installation! Only OBEX Object Push, OBEX File Transfer and OBEX IrMC Sync Server.
What is wrong and what can be done?
Thank you in advance. |

Did you pair the phone with the Bluetooth-Software ?
Do you see "Serial Port" also not in the contextmenu of the trayicon (Quick-Connect) ? |

My friends!
After 3 days of madness, I found the solution!
Microsoft is the only one to blame for the problem. I am not ever against that Company but this time they pissed me off!
The Digitally Signed software is a fault!
The first thing you have to do is to download the updated software from the company (www.belkin.com) in this form: f8t016-f8t017.zip
After unzipping it, DO NOT install the official software!!!
DO NOT plug in the device. Go to the folder F8T016-F8T017\Windows\Win32\brcm and run the executable. Never mind the digital signature! After finishing, plug the usb adapter in, and choose to install the driver yourself, not automatically. Then, choose the location also. When the available devices appear, choose the one that is not digitally signed. Done!
Shit happens...
Be well. |

Hi everone,
Big thanks for Basikal7 because it seems he found the solution =) Although I was never asked about any digital signature during the installation, the problem get solved by the manual work above avoiding the original automated process.
Good luck! |
