Huh!! I'm experiencing the same problem with v.24
Should I reset MPE archives and start from a clean point? |

The error is issued when synching contacts, the calendar is fine.
tried to download entire phonebook, then sync and error again.
In the log I've found
Error in GetAllContacts (cOutlook) : -2147220991 The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
Should I send the entire log by mail to you? |

No, please look at your Outlook-Settings in MyPhoneExplorer. Do you have deleted a folder which should been synced ? |

Got it! Wohhaa, you do know your chicken!! (Italian proverb!) I've moved some public folders.... opened the sync options now it's fine and working.
BTW: in v.24 the icon in the systray disappeard, but MPE is running. If I start the app from the start menu MPE zoomes back from the systray....
Appreciation: I've set my XP to show baloon tips after a long time having them disabled..... I've ntoiced MPE showing received SMS' in the ballon tip!!! GREAT!! |

Maybe you could manage this issue with a proper message like "MPE detected some modifications in synching folders layout: please review your settings" |

Hi there. Reading v.25 readme, it states MPE is capable of managing that tediuos Outlook dialog to authorize MPE to access Outlook data.
But I can't find the option in MPE..... |

Download and install the free version of Express ClickYes and install it. The rest is managed from MPE automatically. I know this solution is not perfect, but its better than nothing. |

* V.25
Exchange folders (public folders) aren't visible anymore in Outlook 2003 sync folders list. Did you change something? I'm sure it was there sometimes ago..... as my Exchange Server crashed and I had to go through a very lonf term rebuild, now that is up and running (and visible into Outlook 2003) I wanted to re enable the public folders into MPE. But the folders aren't in the available choices..... |

Contact-Folders are only accessable if they are saved also in Contactfolders.
-> Outlook/Contacts/PhoneContacts will work
-> Outlook/Inbox/PhoneContacts doesn't work
I had to do this cause the settings-dialog cause the enumeration of the folders in the Exchange-Server took too much time (MyPhoneExplorer hanged) |

I didn't understand if the problem is about folder type or folder location.
Nevertheles in my scenario with some hundreds exchange folders, MPE worked seamlessly.
It was an MPE battle-horse (italian slang)...... really a plus..... should try to go for it again... I can go for some testing if you like. |

I tried it with a german outlook-user a whole day. This was the only possibility to fix this. There were 5 users which had this problem - nearly everybody who used Exchange. Offline it worked, but in Online-Mode Outlook enumerated the folders extremly slow (about 10 seconds for each folder), if there are more Exchange folders MyPhoneExplorer seemed to hang for 10 Minutes and more.
Tell me something about where you save the contactfolders - in which type of folders are they ? Possible that we find a better solution. |
