Your solution does not work for everybody (there is already a second thread about this problem in my forum). I'm not sure if the problem appears if you have installed new XP-Updates or if it depends only on the SPort.dll . I think i'll find soon a solution for all users

I have maybe the solution:
- Start-Run-regedit-OK
- go to the subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Licenses
- rightclick this key and select "Permissions"
- choose "Add" and type "Administrators" in the inputfield, click at "Check name" and then on OK
- select "Administrators" from the list and set the checkbox for "Full Access" to them
- click on OK
Try to install MyPhoneExplorer
Note: I have no english XP so it could be that the buttons are called similar. I translated the instructions from this
Thread. (very thanks to hati39)
Very important:
I need feedbacks if its working or not

i got this from the sport.dll supplier:
Thank you for contacting us. We are glad you are interested in our product.
We deeply apologize for all the inconveniences you have experienced. We
are aware of this problem and are working hard on fixing it as soon as
possible. We have noticed that in some cases it is possible to do the
following:
1) Please, follow the instructions carefully:
My Computer properties -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings -> Data
Execution Prevention -> Turn on DEP for all programs and services except
those I select ->Add -> C:\windows\System32\Regsvr32.exe
2) Reboot your PC.
3) Install Serial Port ActiveX Control.
After that you can return DEP settings.
I havent tryed it yet
maby it works with regsp.exe also?

As far as i know the regsp.exe just do some stuff and then it forces the commandline to regsvr32.exe. Regsvr32.exe hangs then. I'm very interested if this works with the DEP-exception

OS: Windows XP, SP3
This worked fine for me.
It seems that some XP updates changes permissions in Registry Keys blocking some porgrams from access them... including it's own updates (to install IE7 I had to change Registry permissions as well)
