Any news on this issue? I just had to reinstall Cyanogenmod on my phone after it stopped booting (corrupt system files due to faulty battery crashing the phone), so I went for the latest stable using Android 4.4.2.
Not only do the messages get split up into 160 character messages, but MPE on the PC only displays the last part until you resynch. And when you do, the order is mixed up. My 6 part message reads 5-1-2-4-6-3.
I really hope this isn't something we're going to have to learn to live with 
But again, thanks FJ for all the awesome work you do on this software. |

Solved my problem for now (amongst a load of others) by going back to Cyanogenmod 10.1 (Android 4.2)... |

Its not possible to set MPE automatically as Standard-SMS-App (this is the sence of this new "security feature"). MPE could request the "Change Standard-SMS-App" dialog when sending multiple messages , like it is already now when you try to upload or delete a message throught MPE. But i am still not sure if this makes sense because single message texting still works without this setting. No user would understand why MPE does request it for long messages and not for normal messages. |

Hi FJ.
Any update on this lately?
I'd be super keen for MPE to change the setting when sending large messages (or at least have this an option that any non layman users can enable)..
I'm currenlty sending long messages as individual short SMS from my PC and waiting for each to send before composing the next part of mine which wastes a lot of time |

Following other threads to this topic, there is no change, neither is one planned.

Since the first days of MPE the programm always only had functions for everyone. FJ stated several reasons why he´s not going to implement special functions for special users.

Never forget, the MPE is a synchronization tool and no messaging application.
This only comes on top. |
