Phone - OnePlu one
OS - cyanogenmod v12 (lollipop)
This is a new phone/ I have got MyPhonexplorer working fine. On the phone the photos are (by default) are DCIM folder. When I try to sync the photos with my pc using File/Settings/Advanced 2/, nothing gets transfered. photos are still in the DCIM folder. |

If you can't get it working with your current method, try syncing your photos with Multisync. Here's the configuration for my Samsung Galaxy S4. First, set up a new Multisync job, which I call "Camera Shots" (shots taken with the phone to be transferred to the computer).
Direction: Phone -> PC
Source folder: \External storage\DCIM\Camera\
Target folder: <desired folder on computer>
Check Reflect folder
Check Disable confimation message....
Filter, include files: *.JPG
Filter, exclude files: (left blank) |

@iclick - photo sync is now working correctly from the icon in the 'Files Section'. Therefore, I no longer have an issue. Problem appears to have resolved by itself. I am not sure why it didn't work previously. May be I wasn't doing it correctly.
Thanks for the tip on multisynch. I will try this too as it seems to give you more control on source and destination folders.
