How to install MPE 1.87 on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

I've upgraded successfully from MPE 1.86 to MPE 1.87 on my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Toshiba. I'd like to install MPE 1.87 on my new Windows 10 Professional 64-bit Lenovo ThinkPad T450. I'm a very new Windows 10 user so that may be part or all of my problem. When I click download to get MPE 1.87, nothing seems to happen. (I don't see anything like the bottom left corner of Windows 7 which shows when the download is complete and gives me various options such as 'open'.) Nothing gets added to the Downloads folder. Perhaps nothing was downloaded but I don't know why.

It is not the matter of Windows, but rather which Web-Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera .... or [new with Windows 10] Microsoft Edge) you are using when downloading something from the Internet.

Browser settings determine where downloaded items will be stored - this may or may not be the same what Windows considers to be the "Downloads folder".

Most browsers show you the downloaded items when you press Ctl-J.
