X10 sync help

First let me say thanks love your software.

Here is what i have

windows 7 64bit
x10 android 2.1
connected to wifi


This was perfect while i was running android 1.6.
after the upgrade to 2.1 I re-synced and had to enter a new device name. so now i have to phones to choose from.

well this was confusing me so i deleted both of the phones under file, users.

Then i re-synced and added my phone again.


Now each contact has 2 entries. Fixed when you select both phone and gmail you end up with duplicate info in the same contact. seems the phone does not merge numbers, email or addresses. it only merges the name.

Also when i hover my mouse over the sync button i just says synchronize, where be fore i said synchronize to outlook. fixed after adding the phone again i had to select to sync with outlook.

To sync both gmail and the phone do i need to multi sync? Fixed, multi sync is for contacts, calenders, and so on...

It now appears that i'm not syncing any outlook contacts as i can add one to outlook and sync but nothing is added to my phone, no pop up to select to add. Fixed Ok I have 2 contacts with the same number, one was the office and the other was a contact at the office, both had the same number. Looks like they we're joined by android. all i had to do was find the contact and un-join. now both show as a separate contact.

if i have left out a piece of info to get help please let me know.

It seems you have done everything right. All of the "issues" you had can be explained with the data-management in Android 2.1

MPE is a fantastic app

I came accros the same problem as "hackit".

Is there an automated solution to eliminate these duplicate ?
Would stoping Google sync be of any help ?
