restoring to a new device

Please, someone is able to tell me if it is possible to restore the content of an old phone to a new one ?
For example: doing a backup from an LG-G2 android version 4.4.2
and after this, doing restore of this previous backup to a new Samsung last android vesion ?

Hello,

If the old phone is connected to MPE, you can create a backup via extras -> create backup.
Then disconnect the old phone and connect the new phone to MPE.
Now you can restore the data via extras -> restore backup.
But be careful, apps can't be restored, they need to be reinstalled. But for contacts, calendar, notes and call log it should work.

Do you know, what about whatsapp and its contents (chats, pictures,audio, video) ?

Pictures, audio and video should also be possible via backup, if you mean SMS by chat, this is also possible.
With Whatsapp it should be sufficient to copy the entire Whatsapp folder from one phone to the other phone.
During the subsequent installation of Whatsapp, the folder should be recognized if it is in the correct location.

Lastly, i tried to do as you explain me upper about restoring from an old device to a new one. I meet two problems:
1. When i did the backup, MPE create for each contact 2 or 3 or 4 records. Later i understood that each record was, according to the context, so for Whatsapp, Viber, Telegram and obviously for Phone.
So when i restored to the new phone, MPE transferred all the records - 2 or 3 or 4 times for the same contact.

2. MPE restored the contacts as i just explain upper but it didn't restore the messages (sms).

Please, have you any advice to solve this 2 problems ?
