Can I stop the 'Synchronise' popup?
Can I stop the 'Synchronise' popup?
When I exit the desktop app I do not want to see the 'Attention' prompt to Synchronise. I just want to exit the app without having to select 'Exit'.
The reason for this is that I accidently selected 'Synchronise' and MyPhoneExplorer wiped all my contacts from my phone. I had to re-create them all from scratch.
This forum doesn't seem to allow me to add a photo of the prompt but can I stop this prompt appearing?

Input in the general.ini under [Main] area
Code: Alles auswählen
NoSyncOnExit=1Windows File Explorer 'Search' finds only one general.ini file and it is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\MyPhoneExplorer folder so I do not think I could have edited the wrong file.
I used Windows Notepad to edit and save the file.
When you say [Main] area I think you mean the large text entering area. In my general.ini file this area was empty of any text so I copied and pasted your text code (so I could not have entered it incorrectly) into the blank area. Does this sound correct?
If I could upload a photo I could show you but this forum does not allow this.

This is 100% the wrong general.iniWiganken hat geschrieben:Windows File Explorer 'Search' finds only one general.ini file and it is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\MyPhoneExplorer folder so I do not think I could have edited the wrong file.
The general.ini is located in your MPE database folder
If you haven't changed the default path, you can find it as follows:
-Windows Start Menu (Run) => input %appdata%\myphoneexplorer
otherwise
- See MPE => F2 => Advanced 2 => Database
Open [Database]\MyPhoneExplorer
I followed your instructions and found the other general.ini file in folder C:\Users\Ken\AppData\Roaming\myphoneexplorer .
I saw that it was populated already with data so I added your text code NoSyncOnExit=1 at the bottom of the list and saved the change.
I restarted my computer but the 'Synchronise' popup still appears when I close the app.

Thank you for your help. It would have been a lot easier if the forum allowed photos to be uploaded but I finally understood that the code must be the first line underneath the [Main] text. The first two lines of the general.ini file now show as follows: -
[Main]
NoSyncOnExit=1
And that worked. I appreciate your patience with me and I hope it helps others as well.

No problem!
Glad it works now and thank you for your feedback!
