As I am one of these users who almost never use the mouse, I am very relying on the Windows standards which rule most of the applications and allow a user to manage without the need of a mouse. For this reason, I would like to draw your attention on some peculiar behaviour in MPE.
Unfortunately, this strange behaviours do not happen systematically and therefor may not be easily reproducible.
The only way to get out of these anomalies is to close and restart MPE
Several examples I have on a regular basis :
The tab key which is supposed to move the focus from a field to the other (and shift-tab the reverse way) works correctly in a sub window (for example when editing a contact) but not always in the main window. What is more
it seems that sometimes, for whatever reason, when the application has been launched for a moment, the F5 (synchronize) or F1 (connect) key, do not respond. In the same situation, as the Down-arrow key and Up-Arrow Key normally allow to scroll up and down in the right pane, they sometimes are ineffective. And xxx with the mouse in the window does not correct the situation.
Anther thing more uncomfortable, if I modify a contact card and validate the modifications, when the card windows closes, control is not sent back to the main MPE window and I need to click somewhere in the application windows to recover control. (Interestingly, if I use Alt-Tab to move to the next application, then Alt-Tab again, the focus in MPE is recovered)
Could anybody please tell if he has encountered such inconveniences? |
