Just won't sync now

During the August software issue, things would not sync.
Today I completely re-installed on both PC and S24 and did reboots.
I only want to sync calendar and contacts.
Seems to connect OK and the bar seems to indicate it is syncing.
But it just does not sync either way.
Would appreciate some help.

After installing MPE, has all the data been transferred from the cell phone to the PC?
Is a 3rd program such as Outlook included in the synchronization?
MPE => F2 => Sync => Contacts/Sync with Outlook 20XX
MPE => F2 => Sync => Contacts/Sync with Outlook 20XX

But it just does not sync either way.

Please describe in more detail what exactly should be synchronized from where whither ?

Thanks for your message.
Have used MPE trouble free for some years.
All data is on phone and PC, apart from some differences which a sync should fix.
Contacts/sync are ticked to sync all contacts.
appointments are synced to all.

Thanks for your information, but unfortunately this only partially answers my questions
I'm assuming that you have included Outlook in the sync?!

1. Which contact accounts are activated under Phone => MPE-Client => Settings => contact-accounts to sync?

2. Which calendar storages are activated under Phone => MPE-Client => Settings => Calendars-accounts to sync?

3. Create a new appointment in Outlook and sync
4. Create a new appointment in your mobile phone and sync
5. Create a new contact in Outlook and sync
6. Create a new contact in your phone and sync

Please share the results with us on your mobile phone, MPE and Outlook!

Just a complete lack of understanding on my part.
I had selected (which was the default setting in MPE I believe) Only MyPhoneExplorer in the sync settings.
Just selected Outlook for all and it works just like it used to.
