SMS restoring painfully slow on Android 15

I am having the same issue with Android 15 and 1.0.48.
I set the MyPhoneExplorer client as the default SMS app on my Samsung S23+.
The phone vibrates when I try to delete SMS messages from the PC, but no message is displayed on the phone. Before the Android 15 update, I could delete SMS messages from the phone when using MyPhoneExplorer on my PC.

I have the exact same issue on a Motorola Edge 40 Pro on Android 15. Downloaded MPE client 1.0.48, gave it all possible permissions and access to everything, and set it as the default app for SMS. Restoring a backup from my previous phone works fine, apart from the SMS messages. The app says I should confirm a popup on the phone, but this popup does not appear. The phone does vibrate, so I guess something happens, but it's impossible to confirm a popup that does not pop up.
How can this be fixed?
